Plato's
Crito

Crito: Socrates had ample time and opportunity to escape because his execution was delayed due to a religous rite: every year an Athenian ship sails to Delos to honor the memory of Theseus' killing of the Minotaur, and no public executions are allowed during the time of festival. This is yet another example of the curious intersection in classical Greece of myth and fact.
