The names of the 58,209 American soldiers either killed or missing in action during the Vietnam War are inscribed in polished black granite, truly an "imperishable monument" to the memory of those who gave their lives for the sake of freedom. As a memorial at Arlington reads: "All gave some . . . some gave all."             Back to Dr. J's Illustrated Pericles' Funeral Oration
