Flipping Coins

If you flip a coin 100 times and count how many heads you get, you might get 50 heads or a little more or a little less. This is a simple random experiment. If you repeat the experiment several times, your result will probably bounce around the most likely outcome of 50.

The results below show multiple computer simulations. As the number of repetitions increases, the results get closer and closer to the theoretical probability distribution for coin flips.
