Histology is the study of tissues. The course I offer is a functional histology which stresses microscopic anatomy as well as physiology. On the left is a light micrograph of a cross section of some structure. Hopefully, by the time you have finished this course, you will have no problem identifying this structure and understanding its physiology. We have a new text this semester which has some good online resources, especially TEM's.
