I am Lecturer in Philosophy at Hampden-Sydney College. I earned a Ph.D. in Philosophy in 2005 from Duke University. As an undergraduate, I attended Calvin College in Grand Rapids, Michigan. During my junior year in college, I took classes in philosophy and German language and literature at Philipps-Universität in Marburg, Germany. While a graduate student at Duke University, I taught philosophy courses at Duke, North Carolina State University, and Guilford College.
