Cranberry Wilderness Hike

January 6-7, 2003

After about a mile on the Frosty Gap Trail, we made camp near Frosty Gap The next morning we continued along The Frosty Gap Trail, which was actually Forest Road 731
We ascended over an arm of the mountain In and out of hollows we walked
Eventually we came to a public road and the "trail" became a trail again After meeting the Kennison Mountain Trail, we descended back down to Highway 39
The trail swept around the west side of Blue Knob Then we rejoined the Pocahontas trail. Our earlier footprints had been obliterated by the wind and snow.
We began descending to the Visitor Center We reached the Visitor Center at 2:00
