## Drawing the Probability Histogram of a Discrete PDF

- Enter the PDF
- Enter the values of
*X* into list `L`_{1}

- Enter the probabilities of
*X* into list `L`_{2}

- Set up the Histogram Plot
- Press
`2nd STAT PLOT`

. The `STAT PLOTS`

menu appears.
- Select item #1,
`Plot1`

- Press
`ENTER`

. The `Plot1`

menu appears.
- Select
`On`

. (It is already highlighted.)
- Press
`ENTER`

- Press the down arrow once.
- Select the histogram type of plot. (It is the third one.)
- Press
`ENTER`

- Press the down arrow once.
- Press
`2nd L`_{1}

- Press the down arrow once.
- Press
`2nd L`_{2}

- Set up the Window
- Press
`WINDOW`

. The `WINDOW`

menu appears.
- To the right of
`Xmin`

, enter a value at least as small as the smallest value of *X* in list `L`_{1}

.
- Press the down arrow once.
- To the right of
`Xmax`

, enter a value at least as large as the largest value of *X* in list `L`_{1}

.
- Press the down arrow once.
- To the right of
`Xscl`

, enter the smallest difference between any two values of *X*. Typically, this will be `1`

- Press the down arrow once.
- To the right of
`Ymin`

, enter `0`

(minimum probability).
- Press the down arrow once.
- To the right of
`Ymax`

, enter a value at least as large as the largest probability in list `L`_{2}

- Draw the Histogram
- Press
`GRAPH`

. The probability histogram of the pdf of *X* appears in the display.
