Wednesday, November 10th marks our first IM Soccer match victory! In a grueling match against The Other Team (literally) Beta pulled out a 2-1 victory in OT. Congrats. SB

And of course, Beta gave away 20+ pumpkins to share with some members of the faculty and staff, here at Hampden-Sydney, to help spread the Halloween Spirit!

Wednesday October 19th upped the ante for the Zeta Chapter in proving our wits and knowledge of trivia and the like. Many of Betas and recruits participated in the Wingshak Trivia Night tournament. Many of the Hampden-Sydney, Longwood, and Town 'folk try to stretch their minds and reach in the back of their brains to figure out questions that would entail more rounds of play. Set up like Trivial Pursuit, the teams with the most correct answers at the end of the round would advance until the final round where there will be a champion. Wednesday night proved that Beta can battle the whits of this Farmville land and come up nothing short of victory. The streak is now 1-0.

Finger Snaps heard 'round the room on Monday, October 17th as the Zeta Colony celebrated its first successful Homecoming Weekend. Many "thanks" goes out to Brian Cox (Alumni Relations/Historic) who ran the show. As Friday and Saturday 'rolled around, the Betas began to welcome Alumni that showed up for the H-SC football game and our cookout held that Saturday evening. Brother Dr. Townsend accompanied by Professor Victor Cabas whipped out their slammin' guitars and steel melodies to offer entertainment to the cookout on the back deck. All in all as Homecoming came to an end, we appreciate all the brothers and Alumni that helped make the tailgating, cooking, and greetin' possible - proud to be a Beta on this one.
