CHRISTMAS POTLUCK AND CHILDREN'S PROGRAM 2005
|

The elementary children explain the twelve days of Christmas.
|
December 18, 2005 - This year the College Church Sunday School classes planned and presented a very musical, very
festive Christmas program under the
direction of Barbara Rice.
The program was held following a Second Sunday Supper. Members of the Fellowship Committee provided the meats, and church
family members and guests brought the side dishes and desserts.
The program featured music in many forms. The preschool and elementary children sang Christmas songs. The junior high youth
put together an instrumental ensemble under the direction of Marty Dorrill, who arranged the piece specifically for them. The
junior high youth also sang from the
balcony with the senior high youth, to assist the elementary youth in the telling of the featured story, "The Twelve Days of
Christmas. The elementary children had created the illustrations for the story, which they posted on an easel.
The church's own bluegrass band accompanied the choir and led the congregation in the singing of favorite carols.
