2004 MISSION TRIP TO MEXICO
|

Karin and Katie, dressed in their 'official' mission t-shirts, take a break from helping with the enchilada fundraiser.

In 2004, Dr. John Osoinach of the College Church family again organized a crew to go a border town in Mexico to build a
simple cinder block home for a Mexican family. John has participated in this mission work, through his parents' church, for many
years. This time the College Church crew joined a crew from John's parents' Texas church.
Those from College Church who made up the crew were: John Osoinach, Katie, Chris and Patsy Pelland, and Karin
Eastby.. They were commissioned on Sunday, June 13, and left for Piedras Negras, Mexico on Saturday, June 19.
In order to help with the building expenses, the costs of which are normally borne by members of the mission crew, the
Outreach Committee organized a fundraiser. A traditional Mexican enchilada dinner was prepared and served by members of the
committee as well as mission crew members. Those who attended the dinner were invited to donate to the project, and nearly $1000
was raised. Pictures from fundraiser

me does his works.
