Hampden-Sydney College Class of 2007. B.A.,
History and Religion. At Hampden-Sydney: President of Phi Gam, Honor Court Appeals Committee, Hampden-Sydney Volunteer Fire Department, College Republicans and Interfraternity Council.
Favorite memories: Teaching the young frosh how to "gator", road trips to Sweet Briar, watching Cory Rayfield '05 set the tree behind the deck on fire.
After graduation: After the initial shock of graduating from College wore off, Cliff took a job in Charlotte, North Carolina (his hometown) for the summer and then joined the United States Army.
Current activities: Intelligence Specialist in United States Army; currently stationed at Ft. Huachuca, Arizona and keeping in touch with his pledge brothers.
Interests: Playing guitar, living his college days over again vicariously through the Facebook.
Favorite books: Dead Poets Society.

Hampden-Sydney College Class of 2007. B.A.,
Political Science. At Hampden-Sydney: President of Phi Gam, Social Chair of Phi Gam, Interfraternity Council, and Good Men and Good Citizens participant.
Favorite memories: FIJI Islands, Doug Clark's Hot Nuts, the slip n' slide during Greek Week.
After graduation: Assistant Property Manager, Commonwealth Commerical. According to Commonwealth Commercial's website: "As Assistant Property Manager, Alex is responsible for the assistance in the operation and management of all the properties in Commonwealth Commercial’s portfolio. Alex is committed to adding valued service to all his clients in the most efficient and effective manner." Alex works at Commonwealth Commercial with Kenny Strickler '05.
Current activities: Hanging out with Rob Bedinger '07 (his roomate), and running into Gardner Meek '07, who is currently attending VCU Dental School and is enrolled in the D.5 program.
Interests: Skiing and bronsons.
Favorite books: The Purple Pilgrim.

Hampden-Sydney College Class of 1990. B.A.,
Classical Studies. At Hampden-Sydney: Pledge Educator at PhiGam;
Editor-in-Chief of the Hampden-Sydney Tiger; Rugby Team; Preserver of
the "Tuesday Night Road Trip Tradition" along with fellow PhiGams Phil
Goering '89, David Deane '89 and Tom Pyles (DNG).
Favorite memories: Mark Walthall (DNG)
"dropping trou" at the Kappa Sig bench after sinking his
fifth three-pointer in basketball intramurals championship game; the
House blasting Wagner's Ride of the Valkaries [think helicopter scene in
Apocalypse Now] as the pledges rushed the hill (no longer allowed); Mike
Emery (DNG) stealing and riding down the hill a kayak belonging to field
agent from PhiGam Nationals.
After graduation: English and history
teacher, housemaster, baseball coach, and assistant to Head Master
Josiah Bunting at The Lawrenceville School, 1990-93.
1993-97: earned law degree and M.B.A. degree
at Wake Forest University
1997-early 2002: practiced law as JAG
officer in Army. Specifically: completed Airborne School (parachute
training) in early 1998. Stationed in Seoul, Korea for one year, as
legal adviser to medical command in Korea, mainland Japan and Okinawa.
Stationed in Germany for three years and served as a criminal defense
attorney for Army soldiers accused of crimes in Germany, Italy,
Macedonia and Kosovo - including representing Staff Sergeant Frank
Ronghi in high profile Kosovo rape and murder trial [fellow brother and
classmate Larry Gwaltney '90 was the prosecutor]. Spent most of active
duty at the rank of Captain. Left active duty in February 2002.
Since early 2002: Business law attorney
at the firm of Moore & Van Allen in Charlotte, NC. Married my wife
Brittan (Smith College '97 - all women's school) in Vernazza, Italy on
the Riviera in June 2003. Other family: Truman [named after Harry S,
not Capote], our 7-month old lab-mix.
Current activities: President of H-SC's
Charlotte Alumni Club (apx. 200 alumni); Member of H-SC Alumni Council;
Spring Event Coordinator for Komen Breast Cancer Foundation in
Charlotte; Member of Young Affiliates of the Mint Museum in Charlotte.
Interests: Skiing. Fixing up my house in Charlotte.
Favorite books: "History of the
Peloponnesian War" by Thucydides; "Brideshead Revisited" by Waugh
