up the mountain
| We attained the ridge and headed west

| Soon the Kennison Mountain Trail split off to the right
| We continued along the ridge.

| The trail descended down the north side of the mountain
| We approached Hills Creek and Highway 39
|
| 
|
| At the highway crossing, we ate lunch
| Then we ascended up the trail on the other side
|
| 
|
| The trail climbed little as we crossed many little streams
| Soon we reach the junction with the Frosty Gap Trail
|
