Entering Data

Method 1 (Shorter lists)

1. Press 2nd { (open brace).
2. Enter the first value in the list.
3. Enter a comma.
4. Enter the rest of the values in the list in the same manner, separated by commas.
5. Press 2nd } (close brace).
6. Press STO. An arrow appears after the list.
7. Press 2nd L1 (or whatever list you want).
8. Press ENTER. The list has now been stored.

Method 2 (Longer lists)

1. Press STAT. You now see the STAT menu bar. The EDIT menu title is highlighted. The Edit... menu item (#1) is highlighted.
2. Press ENTER. You now see the first three of six lists, with names L1, L2, L3, etc. List L1 is highlighted.
3. If you wish to enter the data into a list other than L1, then use the arrow keys to move among the list headings.
4. If the column in which you wish to enter the data is not empty, then
   1. Use the arrow keys to highlight the list heading.
   2. Press CLEAR.
   3. Press ENTER. Now the list is empty and the first position in the list is highlighted.
5. Press the down arrow to move to the first position in the list.
6. Notice that the status line at the bottom of the window shows L1(1)=. It is waiting for the first value in list L1 to be entered.
7. Enter the first value and press ENTER. The value now appears in the list and the status line shows L1(2)=. It is waiting for the second value in list L1 to be entered.
8. Continue in this manner, entering the rest of the data in the list.
9. Press 2nd QUIT to return to the standard window. The list has now been stored.
