Research Interests

I have two main research interests. One is nonlinear functional analysis where I focus on fixed point theory, nonexpansive maps, and nonlinear Perron-Frobenius theory. My other interest is linear algebra and matrix analysis, especially the theory of numerical ranges. I have been fortunate to work with many exceptional collaborators and to meet and discuss mathematics with interesting people from around the world.

Student Research

If you are a student and are interested in research opportunities in mathematics, I am always looking for student collaborators. I have several ideas for undergraduate research topics in areas related to linear algebra, complex analysis, quantum information theory, and machine learning.
